Making an educational board game for teaching the Discovery and Development of Drugs process.

Context

Games

I directed the design and development of an educational board game, focusing on user experience and engagement. I managed the entire design process—prototyping, visual identity, and iterative user testing. I created 60+ unique game items and oversaw production, handling material selection, printing tests, and coordinating experts to deliver premium quality within a tight budget.

Reflections

Developing SCREENER was a rewarding experience, supported by major Brazilian health organizations Fiocruz and SBFTE. Their sponsorship enabled the distribution of 50 copies across Brazil and Portugal, where over 20 higher education institutions have integrated SCREENER into their coursework. As the first Portuguese-language board game on drug discovery and development, it became a pioneering tool in pharmacology education, receiving media recognition for its innovation and educational impact.
